Murdoch's News Corp gave the Republican Governors Association (RGA) a million dollar donation. As if we didn't already know that Fox was simply an arm of the GOP, this donation erases any doubts.
By not adhering to ANY of the traditions of objectivity by journalists, Fox News has been able to spread lies, and propaganda to its simple minded market. It is a sad reality that, in order to grab new viewers, Fox News has stooped so low.
I would have to assume that Fox News has had a major influence on the American people who believe President Obama is a Muslim.
When I first really became aware of the lack of news reporting done by Fox News, especially during the elections, I was angry. Very angry. Now, it's just funny. Hilarious in fact. The fascinating thing about Fox News is that they still believe that they are just "reporting" the news. Just admit that you are an entertainment channel and stop ruining it for other news channels that are actually reporting the news. It's fine. We'll all respect it and move on. It's shameful to say the least, but I must admit I get a huge pain in my side from all of the laughter done when I happen to flip by it...giggle.
ReplyDeleteHow is it possible that Fox news has a profit of "$700 million dollars in 2010" when it is only August of 2010. You also failed to mention any comparison statistics, such as the fact that CBS managed to turn a profit in 2009, earning $1 billion*. Also, don't you find it a bit generalize and degrading to term all Fox viewers a "simple minded market" when the smartest of news recipients tune in to several different news sources to formulate their own opinions. Not to mention, just like you stated, "other media outlets [distort the truth]too"

Most companies issue predicted profits. I take that back...all companies do. CBS also plays shows other than news, which has a lot to do with their profits. When Fox News begins playing re-runs of "Two and a Half Men" maybe they can be comparable.
